[ 観音響 Kannonkyō ]

宮城県仙台市にある通称『仙台大観音』は100mの高さで、内部には100以上の仏像が安置。エレベーターで一番上まで上り螺旋状の階段をゆっくり降りながら録音。足音と数人の来訪者の声が独特の音へ変化し響き渡ります。静かな感情のピアノとゆったりとしたストリングス、おりん、回転する石、転がる物音、ループする物音。観音様の胎内を歩きながら沸いてきたイメージを音像化。ちなみにジャケットの写真と、付属で付いている写真三枚は全て叔母です。

Located in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, the so-called "Sendai Daikannon" is 100 meters high and has over 100 Buddha statues enshrined inside. I took the elevator to the top and slowly descended the spiral staircase while recording. The image that came to me while walking in Kannon's womb was created into a sound image. Footsteps and the voices of several visitors transform into a unique sound that echoes. A quiet emotional piano, relaxing strings, orin, rotating stones, rolling sounds, and looping noises. By the way, the jacket photo and the three accompanying photos are all photos of my aunt.

[ 千畳敷 Senjōjiki ] 青森県西部にある海岸『千畳敷』。青森の土地柄もあり寂しげで風が強い名所です。風が強い夜明け前に録音。不穏なピアノ、低く漂うストリングス、風の強弱、古書を捲る音、カラスの鳴き声、鈴の音、レコード・ノイズ、ループする物音、念仏唄（私の地元だけの風習で、死者を成仏させるために歌う唄）。この世とあの世の間（はざま）を表現した音の風景。

"Senjojiki" is a rugged coast located in the western part of Aomori Prefecture. Due to the nature of Aomori, it is a lonely and windy famous place. Recorded before dawn when the wind was strong. An ominous piano, strings drifting low and thin, the strength of the wind, the sound of flipping through old books, crows chirping, bells chiming, record noise, and looping noises, nembutsu song (A song that is sung to bring the dead to Buddhahood, a custom only found in my area). Soundscape that expresses the space between this world and the next world.
